Compak: the first Spanish company to be granted Espresso Italiano certification

Though Italy is not a coffee-producing country, its espresso is regarded as one of the most successful "Made-in-Italy" products in the world.

In order to save the term "espresso italiano" from being associated with ordinary coffee blends of dubious quality, or even occasionally products which have nothing to do with that reviving little cup that brings such subtle and such lasting pleasure, the Istituto nazionale del Espresso Italiano (INEI) came into being in 1998, following over 3 years’ research, with the specific aim of safeguarding and promoting espresso italiano throughout the world.

Our company and its products were recently awarded the Espresso Italiano certification granted by the INEI, it being the first Spanish company to achieve this distinction.

In order to win Espresso Italiano certification, we had to pass stringent quality tests covering our products and the skills of our company’s staff.

The Espresso Italiano quality seal as displayed in a catering establishment implies that everything involved in the production of an espresso (the grinder, the coffee machine, the blend and the professionals attending to them) have passed a demanding quality-control process, thereby assuring that the end customer obtains that "perfect cup".
