Compak goes to Tokyo

It’s that time again: the 8th Annual World Barista Championship (WBC). This year’s competition is hosted by the Specialty Coffee Association of Japan and will be held from July 31 to August 2, 2007 in Tokyo.

This prestigious and high-profile competition with the world’s preeminent baristas will meet in Tokyo this summer to demonstrate the art and skill of espresso beverage preparation while competing to become the world champion. WBC participants must maintain their composure as they prepare and serve 12 coffee beverages including 4 espressos, 4 cappuccinos and 4 original signature drinks of their own creation – within a 15-minute timeframe.

Compak could not miss this occasion at the Tokyo big Sight convention center which is held together with the SCAJ (Specialty Coffee Association of Japan) World Specialty Coffee Conference & Exhibition and will be there, not only with a stand, but with our K10 WBC Conic Grinder as the Official Grinder Sponsor, supporting the best baristas from all over the globe.

We are also sponsoring the First Spanish Participant, Chiara Nicolini, who won the 2006 Spanish Barista Championship. She will participate with the Compak K10 WBC grinder.
