An Exciting Event: The WBC 2007 Tokyo

Compak announced today that its attendance at the SCAJ World Barista Championship and trade show that just finished in Tokyo, Japan was hugely successful. High demand was expressed for the company’s range of grinding machines. Compak took advantage of the opportunity to present two new products: the A6 automatic grinder and the Retail line with the point of purchase grinders and laboratory grinders.

Congratulations from Jesús, Marc, Emilio, Albert, and the entire Compak team to James Hoffmann from the UK for winning this prestigious international competition (he also won the best signature drink!). Thank you to all the participants, judges and the organization for the good work done. We are grateful to all those competitors that used the Compak K10 Conic WBC grinder in their performance.

Compak was pleased to again be the Official Grinder for the World Championship with its K10 Conic WBC as well as the sponsor of the first Spanish barista champion, Chiara Nicolini. We are very proud of Chiara’s performance. She made a very original signature drink with cotton candy and her performance was very polished and professional. You’ll be even better next year!

Compak also sponsored Anna Kaeppeli from Switzerland who came in 5th place, Einar Kleepe from Norway, John Muli from Kenya, Francis Njobvu from Zambia and Mifta Sultan from Ethiopia. They all did a great job!
